Show gratitude for your body – it does so much!

I want to start this month off by tapping into gratitude for our bodies and showing our bodies how much we appreciate it!

 

When was the last time you took a few moments to tell your body thank you? I know, I know it sounds weird, but think about all the things your body DOES for you. 

 

It allows you to move

It allows you to think

It allows you to eat and drink

It allows you to dance

It allows you to play with your kids

It allows you to ride rollercoasters

It allows you to party with your friends

 

Your body is how you do, well, just about everything! This means everything you’re able to do is a reason to be grateful for it! 

 

So maybe you don’t have to look in the mirror and say thank you to your legs and arms and toes but you CAN show your body how much you appreciate it by doing a few things. 

 

  • Get enough sleep! It’s so important for your body to have time to reset.
  • Unplug from technology. Allow your mind (and eyes) to rest and rejuvenate.
  • Eat well! More whole foods, more plants (veggies & fruit!), less processed stuff
  • Move! Even going for a 30-minute walk a day shows your body you care.

 

Why not make a list of 5-10 things your body allows you to do and really FEEL gratitude! Feel the thankfulness and the love and the “I am so blessed” feelings.
