7 Things You Can Do To Help Boost Your Body Confidence Before Your Next Summer Outing

Body insecurities?

 

There are so many reasons to love summer and absolutely no time to allow body insecurities to hold you back from enjoying it to the fullest! So today's blog post is all about boosting confidence & embracing the skin you’re in with love.

 

I have always had many hang-ups about my body. Years of bullying no doubt added fuel to that fire, but I am determined like you to push through these insecurities. Life is too short not to enjoy it to the max because we are worried about how others see us and how we feel about ourselves.

 

Have you ever allowed your body insecurities to get the best of you? For example, maybe you sweated it out with long leggings because you aren’t in love with your legs. Or you refused to remove your coverup and get in the water at the beach or pool because you felt uncomfortable in your swimwear. 🙁

 

If that’s been you (I think it’s been many or most of us at some point), I challenge you to make this YOUR summer to vow against allowing your insecurities to hold you back! Here are seven things you can do to help boost your body confidence before your next summer outing:

 

TIP ONE

 

Find and follow inspirational women of your size on IG.

TIP TWO

 

Look for shapes, cuts and sizes on your clothing that fit you well and make you feel good and flattered.

 

TIP THREE

 

Write down 10 things that make you proud to be YOU.

TIP FOUR

 

Fake it ‘til you make it – practice positive self-talk (I am beautiful, I love my XYZ, I am unique, I am worthy, I am confident, etc.).

 

TIP FIVE

 

Catch unproductive, negative self-talk and reverse it.

TIP SIX

 

Practice gratitude for the body you have and your abilities.

 

TIP SEVEN

 

Treat yourself to a bit of pampering if you can – show your body some appreciation. Get a pedicure (or DIY one at home!) or a massage.

 

This might be an arduous journey you are on, and loving your body and self may seem impossible, but why not give a few of these tips a go, there's nothing to lose.

 

So go out there and splash in the water, wear your dresses baring those beautiful legs and wear that bathing suit in style. You are gorgeous!

 

P.s There's only 1 way to get a beach body. 1) have a body 2) go to the beach. Done and done!
